Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Manovah Eco Safaris! By using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Booking and Reservations

• Booking Process: All bookings should be made through our website, email, or by direct contact with our team. To secure a reservation, a deposit is required, with the balance due before the departure date.
• Booking Confirmation: A booking is considered confirmed only after payment is received and a confirmation email is sent.

2. Payment and Pricing

• Payment Methods: We accept payments via bank transfers, credit cards, and PayPal. The client must pay the full price of the trip before the departure date, unless otherwise agreed.
• Pricing: Prices for tours and services are subject to change. Prices will be confirmed upon booking, and any changes in rates will be communicated to the customer before final payment.
• Deposit: A deposit is required to confirm any booking. The amount will be specified at the time of booking.

3. Cancellation Policy

• Cancellation by Client: If you cancel your booking, please notify us as soon as possible. The cancellation policy is as follows:
  • 30 days or more before the trip: Full refund of the deposit.
  • 15–29 days before the trip: 50% refund of the total booking fee.
  • Less than 15 days before the trip: No refund.
• Cancellation by Manovah Eco Safaris: We reserve the right to cancel any tour due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., extreme weather, natural disasters, or other emergencies). In such cases, we will offer an alternative or a full refund.

4. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all clients purchase comprehensive travel insurance before embarking on their safari. This insurance should cover trip cancellations, medical emergencies, lost luggage, and other unforeseen circumstances.

5. Liability

• Personal Responsibility: Clients are responsible for their safety and belongings while on tour. We are not liable for any injury, illness, loss, or damage to personal property during the safari.
• Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays or cancellations caused by unforeseen events, including but not limited to natural disasters, government regulations, or strikes.

6. Health and Safety

• Health Requirements: Clients are responsible for ensuring that they are fit and healthy for travel. It is the responsibility of the client to inform us of any medical conditions that may affect the tour.
• Vaccinations: It is the client’s responsibility to ensure they have the necessary vaccinations for travel in East Africa, particularly in Uganda.

7. Eco-Tourism and Responsible Travel

• Conservation Efforts: At Manovah Eco Safaris, we promote sustainable travel. We ask that our clients respect local wildlife, communities, and the environment during their travels.
• Respect Local Customs: Clients are expected to respect the customs and traditions of the communities they visit. We encourage responsible tourism that benefits both local people and wildlife.

8. Changes to Itinerary

While we strive to adhere to the published itineraries, Manovah Eco Safaris reserves the right to make changes to the itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, we will provide an alternative plan of equal or greater value.

9. Behavior and Conduct

We expect our clients to behave in a respectful manner toward guides, other travelers, and local communities. Disrespectful behavior may lead to the cancellation of your tour, with no refund.

10. Photos and Marketing

By participating in any of our tours, clients agree to allow Manovah Eco Safaris to use any photos or videos taken during the trip for marketing, promotional, or commercial purposes. If you do not wish to be included in such media, please inform us beforehand.

11. Force Majeure

Neither party will be held responsible for failure to perform its obligations due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, or government restrictions.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Uganda. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda.
