Start Exploring

Day 1

Arrival in Kigali – City Tour & Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide who will take you on a brief city tour. Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial to gain insight into Rwanda's moving history. After lunch, begin your scenic drive north to Volcanoes National Park, passing through Rwanda’s rolling hills and rural villages. Arrive at your lodge in time for dinner and an overnight stay.
Rise early and head to the park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking adventure. Hike through dense rainforest in search of a habituated gorilla family. Once found, you will spend one hour in their presence—a truly emotional and unforgettable moment. Return to your lodge for lunch and spend the afternoon at leisure or exploring the nearby cultural villages.

Day 2

Gorilla Trekking Experience in Volcanoes National Park

Day 3

Golden Monkey Trekking & Transfer to Akagera National Park

After breakfast, venture back into the park for another exciting trek—this time to encounter the rare and energetic golden monkeys. After the trek, begin your journey to Akagera National Park in eastern Rwanda. The drive offers varied scenery as the lush mountains give way to savannahs and wetlands. Arrive at your lodge in the park for dinner and relaxation.
Spend the day exploring the diverse landscapes of Akagera on an extensive game drive. Spot elephants, buffaloes, lions, giraffes, zebras, and several species of antelope. You’ll also enjoy views of lakes and wetlands that host crocodiles and hippos, plus a variety of birdlife. Return to the lodge in the late afternoon for your final night in the wild.

Day 4

Full-Day Game Drive in Akagera National Park

Day 5

Morning Boat Safari & Return to Kigali – Departure

Enjoy a peaceful morning boat ride on Lake Ihema, where you can see hippos, crocodiles, and water birds up close. Afterward, begin your drive back to Kigali, stopping for lunch en route. Depending on your flight time, you may visit local markets or craft centers before your drop-off at Kigali International Airport for your departure.
